Puh-lease…give me a break

Man, I sure miss the economic growth, low unemployment and military victories of the Bush era. But I guess Obama is the next best thing …
No Thomas Jefferson? Fail.
No Milton Friedman? Double Fail.
Nice one with Reagan, but missing the Gipper goes without saying. I think that the “W” poster going around is just a commentary on how much Bush was errantly demonized. Sure, he wasn’t as conservative as others on your list. And his fiscal conservatism kind of swerved off of the road, but compared to Obama and the socialist light, McCain, I’d still take Bush.
Palin 2012.

I do apologize that I “failed”. I didn’t suggest that it was a comprehensive list by any means. Your suggestions are good ones. In reading your remarks, it is clear that I was rather doomed in any endeavor to win your good opinion, regardless. Had a I neglected to include “the Gipper”, you’d have chastised me for that as well. Yet including him? No credit, it goes without saying.
“Bush not as conservative as the others.”
I was using the Constitution, as originally intended as my basis, not some murky word like “conservative”.
I thank you for your remarks, truly. It is only confirmation of what has been clear to me for some time. Too many Americans are willing to compromise to a lesser of two evils. Bush was not a “conservative” in that sense that you imply. No conservative would outspend all other administrations by record amounts and balloon the size of government in so many respects, open up doors to the violations of individual liberty, or leave so many, many messes for others to clean up.
The phenomenon of sticking with our quarterback just because he wears “our jersey” really should end. This is not a football game where the object is to decimate the other team, regardless of the outcome. There’s a bit more at stick than a touchdown, NFL contract, or a merchandising agreement.
I found this post because I was going to write one exactly like it. I see no failures here, considering it would be hard to make all of those images of everyone we could miss. Kudos. Keep up the good work!!
TKZ,
Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate the the reinforcement! The last comment left here, oofta.
I look forward to stopping by your blog and hope to add to the roll!
Thanks again!
Warren Harding?? I certainly don’t miss the Teapot Dome Scandal…
“Puh-lease…give me a break”
Are you joking? I may have had my issues with Bush, but I definitely appreciate how well he did do compared to the current idiot. They said history would exonerate him, but I doubt that even his biggest supporters would have thought it would start happening so fast..
Bush would be sooooo much better than what we got.
This sums it all up with one short sentence!!
Hands off Warren G Harding, one of our greatest presidents. Prosperity, harmony, small government and pacifism. I think that he and his successor, Coolidge, were the most libertarian presidents of the 20th century. Teapot Dome was a minor scandal by modern standards, and Harding was not in on it.
