The Salt Lake Tribune ran a story today about a video that was shown at Eagle Bay Elementary school in Farmington.
There are nearly 2,000 comments on YouTube, of which, only two that I could see were more quizzical, not negative. I recommend anyone who has not done so, mosey on over to YouTube and leave your remark.
Propaganda from Hollywood, the music industry, and professional sports…
I don’t have ALL the names of the people who appeared in this video, so if you identify anyone I’ve missed, please help me out by leaving a comment.

Unfortunately not all the celebrities knew what all else was going to be in this piece and from what I hear they were not too happy. Each gave a pledge to what they believed in just like I give my pledge to the Constitution and the principles upon which it was founded. Some of their comments were revealing of programming others ignorance, but most were coming from a heart space and that should be realized. Most socialists (fascists and communists) are very caring people. However, in that they are not inhierantly poor in spirit, just poorly educated. Learning to think and reason for one’s self from full facts is rare in this world, and most rare on the political left and right.
Hello Robert,
Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment.
I would refer to my response to Tersky in general, and only add that I agree that many people who are bent in this direction are kind hearted. I used to bent his way myself! And for the reasons you state.
We all have a responsibility though, to think things through to a logical conclusion.
There are lots of ways I can spend my time, so perusing the result of any one of these artists or athlete’s work doesn’t need to be one of them.
Obviously, some of these people are 100% in agreement with the final message, but I have to wonder if some were told they were just oing a public service announcement about the importance of volunteerism. I will certainly boycott those who clearly stated they were pledging to 0bama, but I’ll withhold judgement on the rest until I have evidence they were not duped or maipulated into participating.
Thank you for coming here and taking the time to comment.
I do fully understand your position (my teenage daughter made the same point).
I actually agree to some extent. However, I think it is important that we are all personally responsible about what we do and with whom we choose to associate. Unless the lot of them who feel manipulated make so much noise that it gets as much attention as the original commercial, then I’m not going to feel much sympathy.
I know all about the importance of volunteerism as I have been actively engaged in it myself in some way all of my life.
It seems to me the collectivist mentality, the raising up of volunteer service, and the castigating of capitalism have a relationship. We know plenty about volunteerism already.

It is very possible that many of these celebs were duped into
making this video and their comments were taken out of
context to fit the agenda of the video. The director, Ms.
Moore, however, knows full well what she did when making this
garbage. But don’t be fooled. The hollywood types, athletes,
and media persons live an advantaged life in exchange for
being the faces and voices of propagand brought to us by the
power elite. Many know they are whores, others don’t get it
yet. Has any of these celebs made a public appology for being
duped into making this video? Most likely not. Boycott them
all, turn your t.v. off or better yet, toss it.
Amen, Bill!
Thanks for stopping by!

Seems that they want to do better than we have been. How is this propoganda? The facts stated is that they want to help the world and the people around them. The worst you can accuse them is being hypocritical, since they haven’t done jack. However, our nation is under assult by not just the left, but the right as well. We are looking at another Civil War in the near future, but not North and South, but the haves and have nots. The Right wants the same things the Taliban demand and the Left wants government in everything, treating us like children. Yet, everything is being driven by the haves and all they care about is a fatter wallet. If we want to take back our nation, first we need term limits for the entire political members, 2-3 terms tops. Second, declare all crimes committed during office acts of treason. Third, we need to change how elections are done, not in votes, but in money. It’s rediculous to have to spend millions of dollars for a job that pays at best a tiny fraction back, especially when you have to spend a million dollars in some places just to be the local dog catcher. Worst part is we elect LAWYERS to write LAWS they barely understand or worse dont read because they are too lazy or simply do not comprehend it’s meaning. We need to take down both parties, as they are now the enemies of the state and the state is US!
How about this one?
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
I Pledge to fight big government take over of America and never watch these guy again.
